Testing in Buffalo

I signed on with Passport Medical to achieve my quest of Liberation. One good thing is that you can get the procedure and testing done relatively quickly (I've been talking with them since February).

It's been a bit of a roller coaster, first Bulgaria, then Poland, and now San Jose, Costa Rica! I just want it DONE! lol

So my testing was scheduled for May 18 and 19th in Buffalo, New York. We left on Sunday the 17th, the flight was fine, boring. I was just so nervous to get the results so I could move onto the next step. We flew into Hamilton, then drove over to Buffalo. We decided to stop at Niagara Falls- but it was kind of boring to be honest! I think I was just too nervous.

Tuesday morning we went to Seton Imaging, and I had my first MRV of my head and neck- which was just like a MRI, with an iv to inject contrast dye. They told me they would phone and tell me the results. So afterwards we went looking around at some antique stores then went back to the clinic about 4:00 pm because we hadn't heard anything. A nurse came out to talk to us and told me they had found a moderate to severe stenosis in the right jugular! I was SO happy to hear this news! It seems weird to be happy there is something wrong, but I knew that the next step would be the liberation!

It felt like a huge weight had been lifted off me! I had two more tests on Tuesday- an MRV of my chest, and a doppler ultrasound of my neck, which confirmed the narrowing of the jugular.

I find it weird my right side was narrowed: I lost vision in my right eye, I've lost some hearing in my right ear, I find my right hand/arm especially to be numb and cold all of the time. Makes you wonder.

It cost me $1650 US at the clinic for those 3 tests. BUT they did tell me what I wanted to know!

I was in a more calm mood on the drive back to the Hamilton Airport, and we decided to visit a winery, and did some more sightseeing type things.

My liberation treatment is scheduled for July 19 and will cost $15000-$20000. eeek!
